On July 8th, 2011 the four animal welfare groups of Haywood County, NC including Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation, Haywood Animal Welfare Association, Star Ranch, and the Francis Fund joined hands with the Steve Whidden Music Festival to raise money for animal rescue. A fish fry was held at the Grandview Lodge in Waynesville and was very successful with a large turnout in spite of the rainy weather. Thanks to all the volunteers and guests!
